About Elliott
Photographer, videographer, drone pilot, and visual storyteller based in Louisville, Kentucky.
Hi, I’m Elliott! Born and raised in Southwest
Virginia, surrounded by the Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountains. I was raised by a family that valued storytelling, laughter, and a deep connection to where we came from.
Before and during college, I played in a punk rock band and toured a little, which gave me an early look at both marketing and documenting the moments that mattered; whether that was in the studio, at local shows, or out on the road. I later attended Virginia Tech, where I earned my degree in Public Relations and Communications.
About seven years ago, I packed up all of my things, two dogs, and moved to Louisville, Kentucky. Since then, I’ve worked in both pest control and hospitality—two very different industries that shaped how I see spaces and experiences. Pest control gave me an appreciation for homes, especially those with character and unique features, while bartending events gave me a front-row view of the photographers and videographers capturing important moments.
In 2023, I married my husband, Adam Caperton, and while working at Brown-Forman, I completed my Kentucky Real Estate licensing. At the beginning of 2025, we launched Hearth Haven Cabins, a short-term rental management company serving Kentucky’s Red River Gorge area. I took on much of the company’s marketing, social media, photography, and video work—and that’s where my passion for visual storytelling really took off.
What started with cabins and property content quickly grew into real estate, travel and hospitality, events, portraits, aerial media, and the people and stories behind them. That’s why I started Frame & Flight Media.
Today, I’m still the Marketing Director for Hearth Haven Cabins while pursuing this new venture in photography, video, aerial media, and design. With a background in public relations, marketing, social media, hospitality, and real estate, I approach every project with more than the final image in mind—I think about how the content will be used, who it needs to reach, and what story it should tell.
What I bring to a project
Real Estate & STR Media
Photography, video, and FAA Part 107-certified drone media created to showcase homes, cabins, and short-term rentals in a way that highlights both the property and the experience it offers.
Content Built for Social
Photos, reels, video, graphics, and other social-first content designed with the platform and audience in mind—giving you media that can keep working beyond a single listing or post.
A Collaborative Approach
I want the final work to reflect your property, business, event, or personality. Every project begins with understanding what you need and how the content will be used.
Beyond
the Camera
Outside of work, I’m usually finding some new way to stay creative, explore, or completely nerd out over something. I’m a big fan of Dungeons & Dragons, music, video games, hobby photography, and just about anything that falls into the “nerd stuff” category. I still love picking up a camera when there’s no client or assignment involved—sometimes it’s nice to photograph something simply because it caught my attention.
Travel is one of the biggest things for me. I love exploring new cities, finding local spots, trying restaurants I’ve never been to, and experiencing places that feel completely different from home. A lot of my favorite memories come from trips where there wasn’t necessarily a big plan—just discovering somewhere new, taking pictures, eating something great, and seeing where the day goes.
When I’m closer to home, I’m usually spending time with my husband, our dogs, family, and friends. That often means time with family here in Louisville or trips back to Virginia to reconnect with the people and places that still feel like home. I also love unwinding at our cabin, getting outside, having a game night, listening to music, or just enjoying a slower weekend.
A lot of what I enjoy outside of work comes back to the same things that draw me to photography and media in the first place: interesting places, memorable details, good stories, and the people you get to share them with.
